Founder, CEO and Creative and Special Projects Manager at Mapa das Ideias, Inês is a Communication Studies major and PhD candidate in Communication Sciences on “Museum and Visitors”, member of ICOM Portugal, board member of APOM (Portuguese Association of Museology) and of the European Sociological Association (ESA) and former professor at the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (Higher Education institute).
At Mapa das Ideias, Inês has led a number of Image and Communication, Vocational Training and Education Services projects in the fields of Culture, Heritage and Citizenship. Through the company, she has also coordinated Cultural Marketing and Communication consulting and project development services, and she is, together with Ana Fernambuco, responsible for the company’s strategy and general product and service management. She is the European Project’s department coordinator, and is responsible for the development and implementation of conferences, vocational training programmes and the establishment of international partnerships. Inês is also the Creative Director for specific educational products, such as: educational kits; educational handbooks; educational games; content design and development for exhibitions; and multimedia solutions.
From 2000 to 2016, Inês was a lecturer at the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (HE), where she was a Marketing and Communication professor for BA and Master degrees. She also supervised several internships and dissertations, and organized conferences and scientific meetings. In this institution, Inês also coordinated several projects, related to product marketing and regional development, and was part of the editorial board of the Superavit academic journal. She was an invited lecturer for the Porto University’s Museology Master degree in 2011, for the Azores University’s Museology and Heritage Master degree in 2010, and for the International University of Lisbon’s Sociology dregree in 2010. Between 1998 and 2008, she was a trainer in several Marketing, Communication and Education vocational training courses for Cultideias and Setepés.
